Hello, I’m Ben Phillips, and I thank you for taking time to read about my real estate career, military service, community service and my precious family.
Though raised in North Florida, I moved back to Gainesville and joined the Focus Real Estate Group team in November 2006, after six years working as a Realtor® in the South Florida area.
While there, I was recognized as the Keyes Company Realtors “Rookie of the Year.”
I later served as assistant manager for the Keyes Boynton Beach office, and as sales manager for the Coldwell Banker Boca Raton Central & Beach offices and their combined 300 agents.
After these successes with “big box” firms, I chose to work with Focus Real Estate Group so I could continue to provide all the bells and whistles of the national brands— along with the personal service level commonly associated and expected with smaller boutique firms.
By the way, since its inception in 2006, Focus agents past and present have listed and sold a combined $100 million + in real estate.
Currently, I specialize primarily in residential sales and campus housing. I’ve also begun carving out a niche in the multi-family and investment market within Gainesville.
As a Military Relocation Professional (MRP), Certified Negotiation Specialist (CNS), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), and Certified Home Marketing Specialist (CHMS), I’ve served on the REALTOR® Image Committee.
I enjoy volunteering for Habitat for Humanity and Student of the Week recognition programs. I was a member of the U.S. Air Force for six years. I served at the Air Force Academy in Europe, receiving two Air Force commendations, as well as numerous other professional achievements.
I earned recognition from the Gainesville, FL Police Department and received their Police Service Award for my contributions in 2014. The Alachua Habitat for Humanity Board of Directors appointed me to a position in 2015, where I leveraged my real estate experience to promote a renewed partnership with local businesses and the local REALTOR association. We raise funds and awareness for Habitat’s ongoing mission as well as the expansion of its Critical Home Repairs, Brush of Kindness, and New Home Build programs.
My wife Kim and I have four incredible children in Zack, Brandon, Lauren, and Kiersten. Zack is currently serving at Fort Carson, CO as a full-time member of the U.S. Army. Brandon is in his second year at Santa Fe College and made the Dean’s List. Lauren attends Gainesville High School, serving as president of the school’s Academy of Future Teachers (AFT). Kiersten is a junior at Buchholz High School in Gainesville. My family and I are also active members of North Central Baptist Church in Gainesville.
